About the Webinar Series

This free three-part series will help health care providers (HCPs) and practice managers understand coordinated care organizations (CCOs), and evaluate and respond to their management of anti-VEGF treatments. As CCOs take on responsibility for the cost of care and drugs from payers, some are instituting management that can affect anti-VEGF treatments. Part 1 of the webinar series distinguishes between different types of CCOs and explains how their origin shapes their management focus. Part 2 introduces the management tools that CCOs use to manage anti-VEGF treatments. Part 3 Provides strategies to improve access and ensure HCP therapeutic choice vis-à-vis CCO management. HCPs can react on how their current practices are aligned with CCO policies and processes. Each webinar will be approximately 60 minutes including Q&A.

Sam Malik
Managing Partner

Sam has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and in consulting. His expertise includes healthcare policy, pharmaceutical marketing, pricing, business strategy and organizational design. He has been closely involved in developing launch and market entry strategies for new injectable biologics and rare therapies.As EVP of Managed Markets at inVentiv Advance Insights, Sam led the managed markets consulting team. Prior to this he co-founded and led Strategyx, building a consulting group of the best and brightest professionals from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and management consulting industries. Strategyx was acquired by inVentiv Health in 2007. Before Strategyx, he held senior positions in product marketing, market research, account management, pricing and business development. Sam holds an MBA from Dartmouth College.
Cheryl Del Rosario

Cheryl has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over ten years. Her most recent experience includes strategic planning and brand building for chronic and specialty medications. Her expertise includes the US, Canada and the EU.As Director for Advance Insights, Cheryl created strategies for a broad range of biotech and pharmaceutical products, including pre-launch planning, market entry, channel, contracting, and pricing. As market research director for OBIS, a market research and consulting firm dedicated to oncology, she developed a team that designed and analyzed market intelligence using both primary and secondary sources to assess market opportunities and track trends in the oncology market. Cheryl holds an MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business.

Vice President

Ken has 35 years’ experience in managed care and the pharmaceutical industry concentrating on health economics and market access strategy for the US and European markets. Most recently, Ken has developed and supported value arguments for treatments for infections, stroke and depression.Ken has expertise in generating supportive clinical and economic evidence using clinical trials, economic models, real world data, and systematic reviews as required by payers in the US and Europe. While in health insurance, Ken directed actuarial research and assessed healthcare technologies for medical directors. As the leader of Cambridge Pharma Consultancy’s US health care strategy practice, Ken advised clients on integrating therapies into the wide variety of payment and delivery systems in the US and European markets.Ken holds a Ph.D. in Social Science and Health Services from the University of Connecticut and a MPH in Epidemiology from the New Jersey School of Public Health.

Karen has 30 years of experience providing pharmaceutical marketing and sales executives with various commercialization resources and strategies to support product life cycle management. While at inVentiv Health, she worked with leadership teams to optimize direct and non-personal promotional resources in support of product and portfolio success. Karen has worked extensively on managed markets consulting engagements including landscape assessments, value messaging and launch planning. Most recently, she worked to develop pricing and contracting strategies for physician administered biologics. Her therapeutic category knowledge extends across a broad range of cardiovascular, oncology, neurology and respiratory products.Prior to joining Percipient, Karen held line and management positions with inVentiv Health, Strategyx and IMS Health.Karen holds an MBA from New York University and a BA from Harvard University.
